Frost melts
off tree branches,
benches, and
the sun kissed grass.
Light causes
the ice to twinkle
and as I watch,
I fall into you.
No longer
in a park, no longer
alone, but in your
warm arms.
Blissful memories
drown me, envelope me
in light, and the din of
the world disappears.
Blissful memories
turn to tormenting flashbacks,
as light fades to darkness,
and fog begins to fall around me.
My eyes
snap wide open,
realizing where I was
and what just happened.
You are
no longer here, just a
faded memory, but those memories,
who you were, were--are--my whole life.
When memories
fill me and flashbacks take over,
I don't walk away from them,
But continue to revisit them.
Just to
fall into you, into your arms,
I continue to live my life on those memories,
even if I have to live through the nightmare of knowing
it will never happen again.

Well written.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite part is "...as light fades to darkness / and fog begins to fall around me."
Two recommendations:
A: Keep up the good work.
B: Remove the necessary capcha from the "Comment Posting" settings. No one but me will ever spam you, I swear.
why thank you! :)
ReplyDeleteI wrote it and posted it in class so I didn't get to spend a lot of time on it, but yea. :)
A. haha will do! and thanks again!
B. capcha? Shab is confused. And good to know! haha
B: Sorry, I had intended to say "Captcha". It "is a type of challenge-response test used in computing to ensure that the response is not generated by a computer." See this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CAPTCHA
ReplyDeleteIn other words, the squigly text that one must type in order to post a comment. Most likely, the only people that can comment are already blogger users. And the likelyhood of a spammer finding your page is highly unlikely. So, basically, go under the settings limiting comment postings, and remove the required captcha. Sorry for saying so much. Keep the poemfactory well oiled!
B. Oh! Gotcha, haha. Shab learned a new word! Woot :).
ReplyDeleteLol its fine, you are just thorough on explanations! Which isn't a bad thing :).
Thank you. Since Blogspot seems to lack Facebook's ample notification system, I will simply tell you: I got your comments, and I have responded to them. Thanks again!
ReplyDeleteOh! Okay, thanks for letting me know :).
