When you look up into the onyx blanket
Above your head, you see white stars.
Nothing else, nothing more.
I used to look up into the sea of ink
Above my head, I see gems shinning,
Diamonds through the depths of an
Endless ocean, an endless pool of ink.
I used to see hanging dreams in the dark shade
Above my head, winking and twinkling,
And every-time a star will cease to shine,
A person will cease to breath,
His secrets expired with him.
But now, in the midst of all that is occurring
I no longer see gems in the sea of ink,
But more-so a film of black with piercing
Punctures, allowing light to shine through,
An eternal mark. Blemish. Impression. All I see
Now when I look up is a sea of black blood and secrets.
