My Choice.

To be tangled in his arms again,
Is too much to ask for--I had made my choice.
I will not turn back.

To be lost in a small room filled with darkness with him,
Seems like a dream--One I had lived.
One I dream to live time and time again.

In the eyes of many, my choice was poor. A mistake.
Stupid.

In the eyes of many, my choice was rash. Irresponsible.
Wrong.

In my eyes, my choice was what I made it to be. Spontaneous. Acting off of impulse.
After all I could have said no--like I had done before.
Like I always have before.

In my eyes, my choice was to take a risk. To do something new. To try something new.
After all sometimes you need to live off of your impulse--to live in the moment.
Like I always refused to before.

My choice wasn't wrong,
or right.

My mind was whet,
and clear.

My heart was guarded,
and inviolable.

My memories still replay,
still flicker over and over again.

Like that bare, dim light bulb flickered,
In that small room filled with darkness.
